Welcome to the Plainville Fire Department
The "Mission" of the Plainville Fire Department is to provide Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to the residents
of the Town of Plainville 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
There are 16 full-time personnel assigned to the Fire Department, including the Chief, 4 Lieutenants and 12 firefighters. All full-time personnel are either Certified Emergency Medical Technicians or Certified Paramedics. There are 12 on-call/part-time firefighters who supplement the full-time staff when called in "on the box". Of the part-time personnel 8 are Certified Emergency Medical Technicians or Certified Paramedics.
