- Notification of the installation of an oil burner must be made to this office PRIOR to the actual installation. Only a licensed oil burner technician may install your system.
- It is the responsibility of the installer to then bring back a copy of the test results.
- It is the responsibility of the homeowner or the installer to make an appointment with this department for an inspection.
- Inspections are NOT done the same day an appointment is made.
- The fee for this inspection is listed in the fee schedule.
- Home Fire Alarm/CO Detector systems and Oil Burner/Tank inspections in NEW homes are done at the same time.
- In the event your oil burner fails inspection, you must go through the entire process again.
