| 4- 1 |
An annunciator is required on all buildings with master boxes.

The annunciator will be located in an approved location by the Chief of the Plainville Fire Department or his designee.

Annunciators shall be weatherproof and mounted outside on the building adjacent to the master fire
alarm box after approval by the Chief of the Plainville Fire Department or his designee.

The annunciator cover shall be predominantly "red." All
zone labeling shall be in plain english indicating the location of the alarm. Zone numbers will not
be allowed on the annunciator. Annunciators shall be a backlit type with sufficient brilliance to be
seen in normal direct sunlight. No LED lamps are allowed. Acceptable annunciator labeling will
include backlit painted window letters or engraved plastic white on red. NOTE: "DYMO"
or similiar labels will not be allowed.
